You’re driving on a wet road. What should you do if you have to stop your vehicle in an emergency?

Keep both hands on the steering wheel if you’re driving on a wet road and must stop your vehicle in an emergency. It’s easy to lose control of your vehicle on a wet road, so if you have to stop in an emergency, react quickly while keeping both hands on the steering wheel.

When driving in adverse weather, look well ahead and watch for hazards. Always drive at the appropriate speed for the road and conditions.
