What is noseweight?
The weight your caravan or trailer exerts on your towbar is called the noseweight. You can find the maximum noseweight in your vehicle’s handbook or by asking the manufacturer. The maximum noseweight for a car is usually around 45 – 75kg. And as a rule of thumb, it shouldn’t exceed more than 7% of the caravan or trailer’s total weight.
